NET NEUTRALITY

You are in control of the internet.

This means that you decide what you download, read and put online. This means freedom of speech on a massive scale. You are the one deciding the content regardless of who owns the network. This freedom is what we call Network Neutrality.

And the big corporations are shutting it down. Without this freedom, the internet would be more like cable TV; a one-away medium. Which is exactly what the big internet providers like AT&T, Time Warner, Verizon and Comcast want to turn it into. And they can, because all the internet traffic goes through their cables. Read All

MAT LAIBOWITZ

Abbiamo intervistato Mat Laibowitz del MIT Media Lab, che ha presentato gli ultimi studi e ricerche della tecnologia dei sensori, come pareti e finestre interattive. Questi studi hanno avuto applicazione anche nel campo musicale e medico: ad esempio la tecnica del motion capture è stata utilizzata per la riabilitazione motoria dei pazienti affetti dal morbo di Parkinson. New Media Ads

A new study indicates more brands are reserving dollars for new media sources.

According to the study from the American Advertising Federation, up to 73% of online marketers are reserving 20% of their ad budgets for new and emerging media. About 12% of those marketers say they reserve between 21% and 40% of their marketing budgets for new media.

Due cacciatori sono in un bosco quando improvvisamente uno cade a terra. Apparentemente non respira e ha gli occhi vitrei. L’altro prende il telefonino e chiama il pronto intervento. “Il mio amico è morto. Cosa devo fare?”, chiede, “Calma. La prima cosa è assicurarsi che sia veramente morto”, risponde l’operatore. Segue un attimo di silenzio, poi si ode un colpo di fucile. Il cacciatore riprende il telefono e dice: “Va bene, e adesso?”. Sarebbe questa, secondo un’equipe britannica, la barzelletta più divertente del mondo. Dopo una ricerca lanciata su Internet, sono arrivate 40.000 barzellette da 70 diversi Paesi.
